DDB Tribal North Strengthens Leadership with Two Key Appointments

In a move that signals serious momentum, DDB Mudra Group has announced two senior hires at DDB Tribal North. Ashna Nandrajog steps in as Senior Vice President – Business, while Mohini Varma joins as Executive Vice President – Planning.

These appointments underline the agency’s ambition to accelerate growth, creative impact, and integrated brand thinking across its northern operations.

Bringing Decades of Depth and Strategic Firepower

Ashna brings with her over 20 years of experience across marquee brands like Bata, Ford, and Maruti Suzuki. She has held leadership roles at top agencies including Contract, FCB Ulka, Ogilvy, and Publicis Capital, where she helped steer business strategy and drive growth for some of India's most trusted names.

Mohini’s background blends journalism, strategic planning, and cultural storytelling. A former NDTV correspondent, she has since shaped brand narratives for Netflix, Google, PepsiCo, and more—crafting high-impact campaigns at agencies such as Toaster, FCB, and JWT. Her work has earned industry recognition, including a Gold at the APAC Effies.

Leadership Commentary: A Bold, Creative Future

Commenting on the dual appointments, Ashutosh Sawhney, President of DDB Tribal, shared:

“We’re scaling new heights, pushing boundaries, and hungrier than ever. The industry thrives on exceptional talent—and in Ashna and Mohini, we’ve found a rare blend of passion, precision, and leadership. They bring the perfect mix of maturity and hunger to help us unlock new opportunities, build strong teams, and deliver standout work for our clients.”

Voices of the New Leaders

Ashna shared her enthusiasm for joining DDB at a pivotal moment:

“In a time of rapid digital transformation, DDB Mudra Group stands out. The integrated model here is built for the future. I’m excited to contribute to a business that values creativity, brand building, and real business results.”

Mohini echoed the sentiment, with a focus on insight-led storytelling:

“At DDB, creativity is rooted in genuine human truths. In a world where attention is fleeting, real insight holds power. I’m excited to co-create brand stories that not only move markets but shift culture.”

A Team Ready for What’s Next

With these appointments, DDB Tribal North is sharpening its edge—bringing in a blend of experience, strategic depth, and creative energy to fuel the next phase of growth. As the lines between content, commerce, and culture continue to blur, the agency’s north unit is gearing up to lead the charge.
